Made For This is about becoming who you were before the world got its hands on you.

If you’ve ever found yourself walking the path less travelled—driven by instinct, creativity, desire, a gut feel, or a whisper you couldn’t explain—this space is for you.

I’m Brittany Wilde (you can call me Brit), an indie fantasy author, full-time writer, creative mentor, mother of three daughters, and woman building a life that honours the muse within, the gravitational pull towards what calls me, creative fulfilment, and deep, rich presence with people I love.

This publication is about the stories we’re handed about what makes a good woman, a good mother, a successful person, a desirable woman, a sensible adult, a respectable human being, a valid creator — and figuring out which of those stories were ever ours to begin with.

After five beautiful years writing Where the Wilde Things Grow, I created Made For This as a new sacred home for the next season of my work.

Because I don’t think becoming yourself is always this beautiful process of adding more and more things until you finally feel whole. Sometimes it’s an undoing. Sometimes you lose careers, relationships, identities, certainty, belonging. Sometimes you have to disappoint people. Sometimes you have to live inside two lives for a while because the old one hasn’t finished dying and the new one can’t hold you yet. And I am deeply interested in that space.
